Comprehensive Orthopedic Care for Pets in Winnipeg

In addition to orthopedic surgery, Sage Creek Animal Hospital provides comprehensive orthopedic care for dogs and cats designed to evaluate, diagnose, and address orthopedic issues that affect a pet’s mobility, comfort, and quality of life.

Orthopedic Exams and Diagnostics

During an orthopedic examination, our veterinarians assess your pet’s musculoskeletal system’s function, balance, and range of motion. We evaluate your pet’s posture, gait, muscle mass, and symmetry, looking for signs of pain, injuries, illness, deformities, and imbalances that could indicate an orthopedic problem. Often, diagnostic imaging (radiology) is also required to reach a diagnosis.

Additional Orthopedic Treatments and Therapies

In addition to surgery, there are a variety of treatments, therapies, and wellness plans designed to help pets living with orthopedic problems. We can help manage your pet’s pain with a combination of diet, nutritional supplements, weight loss, gentle exercise and stretching, and medications that are safe for long-term use. Our veterinarian will talk with you about all of your pet’s treatment options to help you determine the best solution for your pet.
